Hi Everyone,
Well, Tyler’s not feeling so well he has a real bad cold. It seems to be a little better today. We are still waiting to hear from John Hopkins about his jaw surgery. Tyler is having lots of trouble chewing. His jaw hurts and gets sore from trying to chew. He still has pain in his legs. We were told that scar tissue was making his leg hurt and that part of the scaring would have to be removed. Always some thing going on with Tyler.
Our children are still enjoying all their Christmas. You all are just so awesome. We thank God for each of you. Tyler really liked all the cards and thanks all the schools and others that sent them to him.
Keep praying; Tyler has a long way to go yet. He’s facing many surgeries as he grows. Be sure to visit the guest book and let us know you stopped by with another prayer.
Tyler loves his teacher that comes to the house and is doing really good with his school work
A lot of people have ask that we leave Tylers page, so until Caring Bridge says to remove it, we will let it stay active.
Happy New Year we love you all!
New Pictures in Album!!!!
Hello everyone,
Christmas has been really wonderful. Tyler, Jayden and Nathan have enjoyed everything that they got. Santa was good to them. Tyler has some awesome angels that love and care so much for him. Thank each of you, you know who you are!
We even had dinner sent to us and this was so good. What a wonderful thing to do on Jesus’ Birthday!
We went through all our older toys and gave them away to some other children.
Please keep praying for Tyler. Pray they will be able to do a Titanium Jaw; we don’t want to use any more of his body parts. We think that it would fail just like the other two jaw replacements have. Tyler is in remission but he has so much still wrong with his little body because of the cancer. For now all we can do is wait to hear from the doctors in Maryland.
Once again, we hope you all had a merry Christmas!
More bad news.
The screws in Tyler’s legs are loose, both of them. They said we will have to take him back to MUSC and let Dr. Gross do what needs to be done. Shriners thinks that Dr. Gross should take care of Tyler because they know him and his case. We asked about transfering Tyler, but they gave no response. We called Dr. Gross and he had just had surgery himself, so he won’t be able to see Tyler until the middle of January.
The scar tissue is causing Tyler alot of pain. He needs the surgeon to try to do something with some of the scarring. We have an appointment here to see a surgeon. We are getting the x-rays and sending them to a good friend in NJ. He is a therapist and has some connections that may have some answers for Tyler. I hope so. The jaw x-rays have been sent to Johns Hopkins Hospital. We are praying they will be able to help Tyler.
Tyler says Merry Christmas, and he loves everyone!
Tyler had his scans on Friday. He had to have an IV put in, but they couldn’t find the vein and had to stick him 3 times. He really put up a fight. It made his Mom, Ashley, cry. Tyler understands that it is for his own good. The scans have been sent to Dr. Rodriguez at Johns Hopkins. Now we wait and pray. Tyler will go to Shriners on Friday about his legs.
Thanks to each of you who have sent things to Tyler. He really loves the snail mail. If anyone would like to send a card our address is:

Thanks for making Christmas wonderful for our boys. We love you all.
Hi Everyone,
Tyler has a new Caringbridge page. It is:
www.caringbridge.org/visit/tylertucker
The page you are viewing will be left up for a month or two and then we will take it down. Please visit us at Tyler’s new website and leave a message in his guestbook letting him know you were there.
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Tyler’s new Caringbridge page. Tyler’s Grandmother, Darlene asked me if I would help create a new Caringbridge page for Tyler, so that is why I am doing the update today.
Tyler is having scans today to send to Maryland so they can study them and try to find a way to fix his jaw. He has an appointment next Friday at Shriners about his leg. Please pray that the doctors at Johns Hopkins can find a way to fix Tyler’s jaw.
Please sign Tyler’s guestbook and let him know what you think of his new page.
Thanks, Jaime Quilts Of Hope
Hi Everyone,
We have never and will never give up! Tyler has scans here at Greenville tomorrow. They will be taken of his jaw and head. Scans will be sent to the Doctor in Maryland who is going to study them and try to come up with a way to help Tyler. We are hoping that they will be able to do some kind of Titanium Jaw (if it can be done) and a hinge. I think we found the right Doctor and Hospital.
We might have to go stay in Maryland for a few months that will be okay if it helps Ty-Ty. Thank each of you that helped with getting Tyler to John Hopkins. You know who you are. Also, thank you Joe for all your help and caring about our family. You’ve got to be the worlds greatest therapist. You are so much appreciated!
Please keep praying for Tyler. He’s still got a long ways to go. I think we are own the right track now. It’s all in Gods hands.
Hi Everyone,
Well, our trip was long and tiring. They told us just what MUSC had said; that there just are not many options left for Tyler. They said they could use a hip bone and do another jaw replacement if the bone was big enough, but that they can’t promise it will work. The doctor said he couldn’t believe that both the fibluas had died in Tyler jaw; said he had never had one die. He said Tyler has to go to MUSC on the 15th for scans of his jaw (because medicaid wouldn’t pay for them to be done in Maryland) and get them sent to him. He said he will to do a study on Tyler’s jaw and try to come up with something. I wish they could use my bones. I would give them to Tyler.
We are not letting them take any more bones from Tyler; he’s had too many taken all ready. So it’s in God’s hands. Keep praying!
Tyler still has trips every month to MUSC to see the leg doctor and the ear doctor and also sees doctor Oneal, even though he says that there are no doctors in SC that can help Tyler. He says its still important that he sees him. He also has to see doctor Davis about Tyler’s teeth… well gums. He has only a few teeth that are falling out.
Keep praying we love you all!
PS WE DON’T KNOW ANY THING THAT WE DIDN’T ALL READY KNOW! WHY CANT THEY JUST MAKE A PLASTIC JAW? WHEN I ASK, THEY SAY IT WONT WORK.
