Hi everyone,

Tyler is at home. He has been doing well, but did have a lot of pain yesterday.Tyler also fell trying to get out of my car.

His face looks good but he still has to have a lot more surgery. We go back to Maryland on October 22nd to see Dr. Rodriguez. He will tell us then when the next surgery will be.

We have to take Tyler back to MUSC for his legs. They had to cut Tyler’s leg again to get muscle and vein tissue for his face. There is a long cut from his knee to his hip, but it is not very wide like in the other surgeries.

Tyler’s jaw was cut from ear to ear. They also removed some of his few teeth. Now he only has about three. I hope they will be eventually able to make Tyler some teeth.

Tyler is also in a wheelchair because he cannot walk. Hoping this will get better soon. He still has along way to go. Tyler will be home bound for the whole year.

I want to thank God. We had a really hard time at first. I though Tyler wasn’t going to make it. He was not breathing own his own. He also was swallowing till he looked as if he would burst. All I could do to help him was pray, so I prayed, and God heard our prayers.

Thank each of you for your prayers love, support of Tyler and our family. Because you all care so much Tyler lives.Tyler also got a quilt from Coles Quilts. It is beautiful and he loves it, thank you. I can’t name everyone, so just know how much we appreciate all of you. We still have a long way to go but I still think God sent Dr. Rodriguez to Tyler. He’s a great surgeon and I think he will someday give Tyler some sort of a normal life.

Hi Everyone.

Tyler is doing great and his face looks so good. He’s doing so well that the doctor said we can take him to the RMD House tomorrow and stay there a few days and then Tyler can go home to
Greenville.

The doctor is thrilled at the recovery Tyler has had and said Tyler is the best paitent he ever had. He has a doctor waiting on Tyler in Greenville. We don’t know about the legs yet. We may have to return to MUSC for that.

Thanks for all the prayers. That is why Tyler has done so well (although he still has that virus). Thank you all so much.

Hi Everyone,

Tyler is doing really good. He gets the drain tube out to day and gets moved out onto the regular floor. He can’t talk or eat as of yet and can’t walk. We are working on that. Tyler got a visit from MIRACLE KIDS today and we were so happy to see them and really apercate them. They helped with a donation. Thank you Sandy.

I truly believe that God placed Dr. Rodriquez in Tyler’s life; that Tyler has been used to save so many other children. Look at all they have learned at MUSC from Tyler. What a blessing. His little face looks so good. Thank you Jesus. Thanks to a lot of people that have made this happen for TyTy.

He has stepped down from intensive care but will still be moving again as he gets better. He had a reaction to medicine and went into withdrawl. For two days he was seeing things bugs flying saying wierd things and fighting…just wore himself out. He’s okay now. They have changed the medication. His face looks great and I am so proud of him and Dr. Rodriguez. Tyler still has that virus I think they called Mercy.

Your prayers are working and I really think he is improving fast.

We love you all. He has lots of stitches and he cannot walk yet or eat, but hasn’t gotten a feeding tube yet. If Tyler keeps improving I don’t think he will be here long!

Dr. Rodriguez says Tyler is doing well and will have his doctors waiting in Greenville. The staff are all wonderful and treating us really well. Tyler loves mail so we welcome all cards.

Hello everyone,

Tyler is doing a lot better today. The breathing tube is out and he is breathing own his own, thank God. He’s having a lot of pain but that was expected. His swelling has gone down a lot. He spoke and said he wanted the tv on. His face looks good. They had to take muscle, vein and tissue from his leg for the surgery, so his leg is hurting, (again, expected).

I really thought yesterday that he might not make it.This has really been scary. It was so hard to look at him in this shape. I still think this is the answer to our prayers. Dr. Rodriguez is amazing; God sent.

Tyler will have many more surgeries.Thank each of you for your love and support we love you all.
Thanks for the phone calls, for Courageous Kids, and Pat for sending emails for me. You all are amazing. I still can’t send and now can’t receive emails. I am taking the computer to Best Buy today to see if they can fix what I’ve messed up. I sure hope so.

Tyler has had his surgery. He was in surgery about twelve hours. He’s in intensive care with a breathing tube. They are keeping him asleep. He’s not in pain, (I hope). He did have a big tear run down his face. His little head is swollen up really big, but he looks better than he has after the past surgeries.

I don’t know how long it will be before he gets in a room. He has had some breathing difficulties that are under control right now.They also took muscle and vein from his leg for the jaw. Tyler is an amazing little boy. What a Trooper! I know I could never be as strong as he is. Please keep praying for my Tyler. Those prayers work.

Dr. Rodriguez is an amazing man also. I think he may be an answer to our prayers for TyTy. He also knows a doctor that he’s sending Tyler to at home so we won’t have to travel so much, but says he will be supervising over Tyler and this doctor. I will let you all know when Tyler gets in a room.

My email is accepting mail but won’t let me send mail out and I don’t know how to fix it.

Hi, we leave tomorrow afternoon for Baltimore, Maryland. Tyler will be in the Unversity Hospital for his jaw replacement surgery. It will take place on Monday morning the 10th.

I am scared to death for him. I know that this must be done for him to have a chance at a normal life. I pray that the surgery works this time.

Please pray for all of us. I know God will be with us all the way. This will be hard own our whole family because we love Tyler so much and it hurts so much to see all the pain and suffering he goes through. We also know that God has a plan for this special little boy and that God has heard all your prayers.
