Prayers Needed

Tyler will be having surgery Nov-11th at the Greenville hospital on both legs. They will be replacing the screws that have come loose in his legs, causing him pain. Tyler will come home with cast on both legs and in a wheel chair. This is a temporary fix to help stop his leg pain. He will still have to have more surgery to replace some of the veins, muscle and bone that has been taken from his legs while fighting Rhabdomyosarcoma (IN REMISSION ,THANK GOD).

Please send us your prayers and good wishes.

Hi everyone,

We have made the trip to Maryland. The plane flight was wonderful! We did great with that. Thanks once again Steven for our tickets. Tyler loved to fly. We got to Maryland and got a taxi to the Ronald Macdonald house. We were welcomed by warm and kind people. Tyler got to play a few games and take a good bath before bed time.

The next day, we went to see Dr Rodriguez who was really glad to see Tyler. He took a lot of pictures of Tyler’s jaw and told us that there are a lot of people wanting to hear how he is. Dr Rodriguez told us that Tyler will need some more surgery soon to shape his face. He said that we were to get the legs operated on here in Greenville and give them a couple weeks to heal. We should then call and he will set the jaw surgery up for Tyler in Maryland. Tyler will only need to be there five to seven days and then we can bring him home. He also said that this will make a world of difference in the way Tyler looks. Tyler will have to even have more surgery on the jaw as he grows.

Dr Rodriguez said that he wants to help Tyler and make him as well as he can. I thank God that we found Dr Rodriguez! I can’t say, “thank you” enough to him. Tyler’s jaw is not hurting. He still has a long way to go, but I know he’s going to be okay as long as we have Dr Rodriguez.

We will take Tyler to see the doctor here Monday and set the surgery up for his legs. This will be on both legs, so I think he will be crippled for a little while. He’s strong and he will be okay. Please keep praying for Tyler.

Next I want to thank the Flights of Hope and their pilot, George for our great trip home. Tyler loved it and they were all so nice to us. Thank God for all these people that really care. They even sent us a free meal at Red Robin for Tyler’s and my birthday! It was sooo good. Also thank you to Courageous Kidz for there wonderful Halloween carnival. The kids and my self had a wonderful time. Thank you Flash and Cathy.

A Call for Prayer

There is also a little boy Ethan Joestad. He just found out he has the monster a few months back (arms cancer). He needs prayers too.

Hi Everyone.

Tyler is still doing well with his jaw and not having any jaw pain. I thank Dr. Rodriguez so much. We leave Wednesday the 21st on a flight to Maryland. Tyler keeps asking how many days until we go. He wants to ride on a plane. Please pray that we get good reports while in Maryland!

Steven, I thank you so much for getting our flight. you have really done your part and more to help Tyler! I don’t know what we would have done without you and all the others that love and care so much for Tyler. He’s got a long way to go. He’s a strong kid and can handle it. Tyler’s still hurting in both legse. We stil don’t know whent hat surgery will be. We wish Dr. Rodriguez could do it. I just know that one day, Tyler will be well again! Tyler’s still eating a lot more than before the jaw replacement.

His birthday was great. We received a gift certificate for Red Robin for mine and Tyler’s birthday from the Flights of Hope. We will go Monday for that. We thank them and they are also going to fly us back home from Maryland. That’s just awesome. God has been with us on this journey and I know he will hold our hands through the rest of it. It won’t be easy, but Tyler is strong and I have my faith to carry us on. God has and does hear your prayers, so please keep praying for Tyler and our family.

Also, we are going tomorrow, Saturday, to Charleston for a Courageous Kidz Halloween carnival. I am so glad that Tyler feels well and can do this.

Hi Everyone,

Well, things here are good. Tyler was a happy little boy on his 9th birthday. He enjoyed going to Gettie Town. I want to tell you all that I took all the birthday cards, and he sat there with all of us and opened each of them with his dad’s help. He was all smiles. He looked at me and said, “Nanny, these people really love me.”

I just wanted to share that with you. I had gotten him a game for his Wii and his teacher came and gave him two games, then uncle Jermey got some more games, so he’s stocked up on games! Mom and Dad got him a jacket, shirt, and toys. He had a cake. He told me he loved me before we left and gave me a big kiss, of which Ashley took a picture.

I will post that along with birthday pictures later. Uncle Jermey took him home and played all day with him.

Thank you all for everything that was sent to Tyler for his birthday.

Tyler is still doing great with the jaw; it has not been hurting him. He still looks good, better than what it did. He’s having a lot of trouble eating and still tries to hide when he eats because his mouth doesn’t move quite right (moves in a circle). He will still have more surgery on the jaw, but he is a lot better now than he was a four months ago. We fly out to Maryland on the 21st of this month and have got a way there and back. Hopefully we can stay at Ronald McDonald House.

Tyler is all excited about flying. He’s all ready to go. Tyler is waiting to see the doctor here about his leg surgery, so not a lot to tell you about that, other than they are still hurting him. He is off the prescription medication and just using over the counter, which is controlling the pain. Thank God!

Please keep praying for my Tyler, he still has so much to have to go through. Hug your kids today and everyday; you don’t know what tomorrow may bring.

PRAYERS NEEDED AGAIN FOR TYLER

Tyler’s jaw still doing well and not hurting, THANK GOD! We heard from Dr. Veckish, the leg doctor here in Greenville. He said that they need to go in and put screws in both of Tyler’s legs. He will need screws inside and outside one leg, the one that has been hurting so badly. Then he will also need screws put in outside other leg. Then the waiting game will start again, to pull his legs in. Then Tyler will need yet another surgery to fix his legs. Ashley will call the doctor’s office tomorrow and make an appointment. Nothing will be done till Dr. Veckish talks to Dr Rodriguez’s office in Maryland.

WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW MORE WHEN I KNOW
