Hi every one,

Well, Tyler has had a wonderful week with little pain. He’s been able to attend school all week, and he’s still loving school. We are going to take Tyler the 27th to Charleston to Courageous Kidz Pins and Pizza party. This should put a smile on his face. This will be so much fun for him.

He’s such a sweet child and thanks you all for all your love and support. Gees, you all have just been wonderful, and I know that you are the reason that Tyler is here today, so many prayers being sent up for him…because you all cared. We have been able to get Tyler to his doctor, and get the medical help he needs and will need for a long, long time. Cancer and the after math of cancer is so hard on the children and families. Tyler has three doctors here that look after him; his leg doctor is here at MUSC of Charleston. In addition, Dr. Rodriguez in Maryland, which is so far from home. Maryland is 12 hours from Grenville SC. There are no doctors in SC that can help Tyler with his jaw, so we have to travel.

Tyler is already talking about Christmas. He’s like a little dad to Jayden. He said, “Nanny, please don’t ever let them cut Jayden like I have been cut.” Tyler has a scar from ear to ear. He has a scar from his back to his chest. He has a scar where he had a tracheotomy. One all the way from knees to ankles on both legs and he has three scars in his belly from feeding tubes. He also has a scar where his port was. It’s a small one. Now you tell me, have we got a strong trooper here or not!?! Oops, he has two scars from them grafting skin for surgery on his jaw too.

Through this, God has been so good to us. He’s placed angels here on earth to help and he’s kept our boy here on earth with his family. I know someday we all have to leave this earth, but I sure am not ready for Tyler to go. I think God has wonderful plans for this child, so please keep us all in your prayers.

Now, as far as me, I still have the e coli and I haven’t heard from the specialist yet. The doctor took more tests last week and will be calling me about them. She did say she saw some improvement in my urine, so maybe the antibiotics are taking affect. At last I hope so, I just have to be well before Tyler has any more surgery.

After Christmas, I want to get a team Tyler Tucker started and get shirts printed. I was wondering how many would be willing to buy a shirt from Tyler and be on his cancer survivor team… just thinking about this. Shirts would range between maybe $12 to $15 dollars. But we will have to give this a lot more thought and check on getting the shirts.
I would need someone to design the shirts; I sure couldn’t, any ways we will just be praying about this.

Please sign Tyler guest book and let us know that you were here.

Courageous Kids has helped Tyler and our family so many times for so many things. Please take a minute to visit them on facebook and give them a “like.” Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Well things here are about the same .Tyler has been doing good and going to school. He seems to like school. The cooler weather is not good for Tyler. He wakes up at night with his legs and jaw hurting and having to take pain meds. It’s getting a little harder for Tyler with swallowing his food, but he is able to do it. He has been sitting around playing his game with his brother. I was looking at Jayden’s pictures and Tyler looked just like him at 4 years old.

I want to ask that you pray for Tyler and this family. We have a long journey yet to travel with Tyler. I hate to know that he will be having surgery around March. Time is going so fast that it will be here in no time, but we have to do what we think is best for our boy. I don’t want to see him on a feeding tube all his life.

Tyler has gained a little he now weighs 60 pounds yay! A LITTLE WEIGHT GAIN IS BETTER THAN NO WEIGHT GAIN.

He still wants a TV for his room for Christmas so he can lie in his bed and play his games after surgery. Hoping we will be able to get it for him. Just think it will soon be Christmas. Another year passed. My boy is ten years old. We have fought a long hard battle since Tyler was two. And with our faith in God we will win. The devil will not take Tyler from us. He has so many battle scars. What a trooper.

Tyler’s foot that he twisted at school is better. I wish I could just make all this better for him. Tyler’s bones are soft and break at the least little thing. He’s a strong kid. I don’t know why he hasn’t had a nervous breakdown by now. He’s still seeing the leg doctor here and the jaw doctor but the jaw is getting worse. Also, Tyler got his report card. A’s and b, and c and a special note from his teacher saying she has never had a child in her class that is more polite and respectful than Tyler. I wanted to scan report card and put on here but the scanner is no good.

We figured it out. Here’s Tyler’s report card. We’re so proud!

JAYDEN, NATHAN AND ETHAN are all doing fine.

Now, about me. I am okay. I still have the e-coli and go back for more tests Wednesday. The antibiotics just don’t seem to be working. I still haven’t heard from the specialist yet hope to hear soon. I need to get well so I can take care of Tyler and be with him for his surgery.

You all are angels and there are just not enough words to say how great full we are to each of you. Thank you all for loving Tyler. He still loves getting all the cards and stickers. We can’t answer every one of them but know that we thank you. Tyler said to me, “Nanny, look. These people really care about me.”

Darlene wrote me this weekend that she is doing okay. She still has to go back for more tests this week. They are sending her to a specialist, but it may take a month to get the appointment because its a clinic. Please keep praying for fast healing. Tyler needs his Nanny!

Tyler stepped the wrong way at school, ending up with a sprain and small fracture in his foot. His bones are fragile from chemo and it doesn’t take much to make them crack. But that didn’t stop Tyler from having a fun Halloween. This kid has been through much worse than that!

Here are some images of the good time he had. Don’t you think an Iron Man costume is so fitting for Tyler?

Just a short update:

Tyler has been doing well the last few days he’s even been able to go to school. His teacher is wonderful, she even props his legs and feet when he hurts and she ask him all through the day if he wants to eat. She sure takes good care of Tyler. I want to thank some really wonderful people from the Howling Wolf Bar and Grill and my dear friend Cathy, her husband, and son Mathew. They are just so caring and have been raising money for Tyler, putting it in his account for his surgeries. Thank each of you, you’re awesome!

Tyler will be having one not too far off, but he will have to have lots of surgery, all in Maryland. Tyler’s journey is still so long and he will need your prayers, love and support to get through this. He’s just such a sweet little boy. May God be with Tyler and our family as we try our best to do what he needs. Tyler’s jaw is still hurting, some days worse than others. He’s just playing his games and making the best of things. Thank God, Steven got him the PlayStation and games. He smiles a lot playing the games. You all are angels that have watched over Tyler.

As far as me, I’ll be OK. Went for cultures yesterday and will go back Tuesday for more. The medication is so strong, it makes me sick and makes my back and ribs hurt, but I have to take it. However, I believe in God and I believe he’s going to heal both Tyler and me. I won’t let the devil win. Tyler is my grandbaby, I love him, and I won’t let the devil destroy him or me!

He tries but God is with us I have my faith. We will both be OK. Thank you all for all your prayers love and support. We love you all! I will update more in a week or so… not feeling so good now.
