Well I’m up again. It’s three o’clock.

Time to start packing. It’s one week until we leave for Tyler’s surgery. Tyler’s okay with having the surgery, but his dad’s nerves are a wreck. I am scared for Tyler, even though I know God is with us and I have to keep my faith in him. This has just got to work. There aren’t any options left for TyTy. Please keep us all in your prayers. I don’t understand why Tyler has to be sick and have pain all the time. I pray that this surgery will be the answer to our prayers. But I do thank God each day he’s with us. Don’t get me wrong. Tyler has good days and happy days; he’s a happy little boy.

We were told that we would be in Maryland six to eight weeks. That’s Thanksgiving and Christmas. I will miss being with my family, but I must go with Ashley and Tyler. We are going to be at the RMD House; the staff and people there are all so caring and nice to us. I will post the address when we get there. If you like, send cards. The house is about two blocks from the hospital. I hear the weather’s going to be great there next week.

I want to thank Tyler’s home-bound teacher, Mrs. Bright. She has helped Tyler stay up with his grades and he has done well with that. She’s also Nathan’s teacher.

There are just so many out there that care. Tyler’s whole school has been wonderful. It’s so great to see all the children love Tyler and care so much about him. Tigerville School is the best.

I will be worried about my granddaughter Jessica while I am in Maryland. She has MS and it seems to be getting worse, but her mom will just have to take care of her. Please say a prayer for her. She will turn 22 on Nov 21.

Thanks to everyone for all the donations, gift cards and food. You all have been wonderful. We love and thank each of you. If you would help Tyler and our family, you can donate at Tyler tucker.com, no matter what amount. Or send a gift card for subway, McDonald’s, or Burger King. Everything helps.

Know that we are so grateful.

I want to thank my wonderful husband for all he does. He’s a wonderful husband, father to Nathan, and one heck of a Papa to all the children and grandkids. Please pray for Tyler and our family.

Well its four o’clock in the morning and I’m up again… cannot sleep. Tyler and dad Richie’s surgery is two weeks away. Please pray, pray, pray for them. Have you ever seen a child that was happy to have a life threatening surgery? Well Tyler wants to get it done even though there is a big risk.

We took the boys trick or treating, but didn’t get to stay out long. Tyler’s legs and jaw were hurting so we had to bring him home to take his medication.

He’s doing okay. Tyler does not seem to mind the surgery coming up on the 21st. He just wants to get better and be a normal little boy. without all the pain. Tyler’s dad is still okay with giving his fibula bone, and I think we have the trip arranged. Please pray for nice weather. They cannot fly the plane if the weather is bad. We have a flight with Children’s Flight of Hope. Ashley, Tyler, Nathan and I are flying. We thank them so much.

Papa George is bringing Richie up. He’s never been on a plane and doesn’t want to fly. Please pray for a safe trip. We are just thankful that he’s doing the surgery.

I have someone that will be staying looking out for Nathan’s birds and dogs. As soon as the surgery is over and Papa George knows that Tyler and Richie are okay, he will return home so Jayden and Nathan will be able to go to school.

Please pray that God has his hands on all of us and that my TyTy will be okay. I’m worried about this surgery, but we don’t have any other options. We will be in Maryland, 600 miles from home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tyler will be in the hospital a long time and then will go to RMD house. There he will be stuck in a room because the medication he will be on will make him sick and he can catch any germs around.

Also, the medication that Tyler will be taking can cause a secondary cancer. They tested Tyler and said that there’s a good chance of this. God I pray this does not happen. We were told that if it did, most the time they could cure it. I will miss my children and grandkids. I don’t think I have ever been away from them for Christmas, but I feel I have to do this for Tyler and Ashley, and I know they will be just fine.

They also talked about taking him back in surgery and taking the medial rods from his leg. I’m just so worried about my boy.

We still need donations. What we have won’t last long, so if you can help us please do. You can donate at tylertucker.com or pay pal at or mail Tyler Tucker c/o Darlene Cox, PO BOX 14386, Greenville, SC 29610. Medicaid does not pay for many things that Tyler will need and Tyler will need special foods.

But with all we have been through, I have my faith and have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I thank God each day that TyTy is with me, and I thank him for Jayden, Ethan, and Nathan. I thank God for all of you that have been with us, loved, and helped us… for my children and for Ashley who has had to be so strong for her son. she’s a wonderful mom. I thank God that I’m able to be with Tyler. I have now lost sixty-nine pounds. thank you Jesus. The only thing is now I have cataracts in both eyes one is bad and the other is small. I have no insurance so this has to wait. Gees, what next.

I still haven’t put the tree up. I just cannot get in to Christmas. I wanted to try make things as normal as possible, but that’s not going to happen. You just don’t know how depressing this is both mentally and financially.

Tyler will have to make many trips after surgery back to Maryland and even to Greenville where it’s 24 four miles there and back. Gas is so high and if you sit at the doctor’s you have to feed the kids. We are living on social security. But I do what I can; Tyler’s family has no car, so I have to use my van to get them where they need to go.

Thank all of you that have donated and sent snail mail Tyler loves the mail. Thank you. No matter how big or small, we are grateful and thank you. The most important thing is prayers.

We love you all. Please tell your kids you love them you never know what tomorrow will bring. Just thank god this isn’t one of your kids.
