Hi, everyone. This one’s a little long —

Sorry I haven’t updated before now, but I have been sick. I’m getting better now. First, I want to thank God for all the angels he has placed in Tyler’s life. And I want to thank you all for all the love and support you give Tyler and his family. We have enough money for the trip thanks to people that love TyTy. Thank you to the Cory James Good Times Benefit. You guys are just awesome. Thank you for all the hard work and hours everyone put in to help Tyler. For everyone that donated to make Tyler’s day a success, what a blessing! Thank you Mrs. Boswell and Mrs. Lash and her wonderful husband. I know god will send you many blessings for he placed you in Tyler’s life.

tyler iI cannot send thank you cards to everyone, so I am doing it here. No matter what you have done to help out, even the cards make Tyler grin (even though he can’t smile). Know that we love you all and thank you so much. And I know everyone’s names are not here, but please know that we are grateful.

I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins. You are always there for us and finding ways to help Tyler. I love you. And thanks to the Greenville Cancer Society. So many times, you have stepped in to help when we didn’t know where to turn. I JUST DON’T KNOW THE WORDS TO EXPRESS HOW GREAT FULL WE ARE!

Papa George will be driving Tyler and his Mom to Maryland leaving this Wednesday to see what the doctors say about Tyler’s jaw hurting him so badly. They’ll also be setting up surgery number 60. That’s a long 600-mile drive from home, but I won’t complain. God will be with Tyler and his family until the end of Tyler’s journey. Tyler’s life is in God’s hands.

We couldn’t get a flight, except for one way, but then they wouldn’t have a way home. We could have gotten a commercial flight, but it would have cost $640 along with the $1,200 that Flights of Hope could chip in. It’s just so much cheaper to drive.

tyler iiI will not get to go this time. My little Nathan has an appointment with the doctor. His school thinks he may have some autism. So, I will be with him this time. It’s upsetting, but he needs me. I bite my nails all off to the quick last night lying in bed. I couldn’t sleep. I worry so over my boys. I love them so much.

Or if anyone wants to adopt a family for Christmas, Tyler’s family needs the help. So many helped us last year, I don’t think they will help again this year. I tried to email KatesChristmas, but I haven’t gotten an answer.

Please don’t email me or write on Tyler’s page telling me how awful I am for asking. I would do anything to help Tyler, even stand on the side of street with a jaw if I had to.

Tell your family you love them. You don’t know what tomorrow will bring. God bless. We love you all.

Hello everyone,

Tyler wasn’t able to go to Charleston for Courageous Kidz’ Halloween event. He said that he didn’t want to go because he has to take pain medications and that it would make him sleepy; that he was not feeling well. He didn’t want to have to be around a lot of people while he was hurting.

I went for him instead. It was a wonderful event. We haven’t heard from any of the Flights of Hope organization about a flight, so we may have to drive to Maryland for the appointment own November 7. Tyler has to go because his jaw is giving him a fit. And with the weather getting colder, it’s going to make it worse. Please keep my Tyler in your prayers. God hears them.

We love you all and thank each of Tyler’s angels for all they do. You all have kept Tyler with us.

We have turned Tyler’s life over to God. He has been with us through the years and placed you all in Tyler’s life.

God bless.

TYLER’S BIRTHDAY WAS WONDERFUL BECAUSE ALL HIS ANGELS CARE SO MUCH ABOUT HIM. WE LOVE YOU ALL. THANK YOU

Below is what happened in the last surgery Tyler had. He will return to Maryland on Nov 7 to see what they find and set the next surgery dates.

The doctors put a spacer in, made of some kind of hospital cement, instead of the jaw they had made. They hope the spacer will grow a capsule of healthy tissue around it along with blood vessels for when they do the next surgery. They are working on scheduling surgery for a few months from now. When they do that surgery, they said that they might use his hipbone to make him a new jaw or the one they had made for him, depending on what the skin and tissue look like when they go back in. They also want to try to fix the nerve then too, but it just depends on what they find. They might have to do it in a separate surgery. They plan on fixing it this time by connecting the bad nerve to a different one in his face, instead of one from his foot again. They said if they do, in order to smile or control his cheek he will have to bite down, but that after a while his brain would relearn and he wouldn’t have to bite down anymore. They said they hope they can do it with the jaw surgery, because the longer they wait to get the nerve fixed, the harder it is to get it working again.

We love you all and are so grateful for all that you have done to help. You are Tyler’s angels!

Hi.

Letting you all know that Tyler is doing okay. He is still hurting in his jaw and leg and won’t leave the house at all because of the pain. The school carnival is tomorrow but he doesn’t want to go. I am trying to talk him in to going.

I am trying to get things ready for our trip to Maryland on November 7, but I’m not sure how we are getting there.

Dr. Michael Chrissy and Dr. Brando Bojovic are supposed to set up Tyler’s jaw surgery and make sure no infection has set in. they are a part of Dr. Rodriguez’s team.

I have my faith and no god will provide a way for us to make the trip. Tyler’s birthday is on October 9. He would love to get lots of cards to wish him a happy birthday. Then I can figure out what to do about Christmas  for Tyler’s family.

A special thank you to all Tyler’s angels. Thank you for caring about Tyler and our family. Without you, Tyler would be miserable. But because you care, he is a happy child. As you all know, I would cut my arms off, beg, plead, whatever I have to do, to get Tyler and his brothers the help they need. I just put my trust in god and pray a lot. God does hear my prayers and is with me in every one of Tyler’s surgeries.

God bless you all. We love you!
