Hi everyone,

Well, Tyler’s about the same. He’s taking his pain medication. Tyler has three appointments coming up here in Greenville with a surgeon about his jaw, with his leg doctor and with a pain clinic. He’s such a trooper. Tyler’s still saying he does not want his hipbone taken, but he will still have surgery. They will take the jaw that was built for him and put in his jaw. God bless each of you for all your love a support of Tyler. Ashley is doing a little better after having her teeth taken out.

I have been hurting in my legs, knees and hips, causing me to stumble and fall, so I had to go get an MRI. Bad news, the doctor said that she didn’t realize it was so bad. She said I would have to have surgery. I have appointments with surgeon on Dec 5. I am hoping they can wait till after Tyler’s surgery on January 27. I don’t know because doctor said that if I don’t have both knees operated on that in a year’s time, I won’t be able to walk … and it may not be fixable. she said that all the cartilage is gone and she does not even know how I am walking around now, so please put this in your prayers, and know that we are grateful and thank god for all Tyler’s angels .

Hi every one,

Well, not much change.

Tyler is still having a lot of pain now in his legs and jaw. The cold weather is making it worse. I talked to him this morning and he said he does not want the doctors to take his hipbone. He wants them to put the jaw in that they made instead.

Please keep praying for Tyler and our family. He’s facing this surgery January 27.

I want you to pray for his mom, Ashley. She was having so much pain from gums and badly decaying teeth. They were painful and actually breaking off. We couldn’t find any one to help her without coming up with $5,000, so her dad has taken her to Florence to dentist. They will be removing all her teeth today. These are doctors in training. Even then, she has to come up with $740.

I just couldn’t stand seeing her hurting, so pray she’s going to be okay.

Christmas is coming soon if you want to help Tyler’s, family please contact me. Or donate to:

Tyler saw the doctors at the University of Maryland yesterday. We are not too happy. Our wonderful Dr. Rodriguez has taken another job at the University of New York, and they will not accept Tyler’s Medicaid so he has to stay at the University of Maryland with a couple of doctors that were on Dr. Rodriguez’s team. Dr. Rodriguez said that he’s not giving up on Tyler, but leaving Tyler in hands that he trusts. He said he will only be a phone call away.

He said that this is a once in a lifetime chance that he couldn’t turn down. I don’t know how this is going to work out, because Dr. Rodriguez didn’t charge Tyler, only the hospital did. They accepted Medicaid at the rate South Carolina paid. We are expected to pay everything above that. We owe the hospital thousands right now. I think that the new doctors will expect payment. I don’t know what will happen with that. Low-income families just don’t have it. I can’t blame them for that. Please keep praying for Tyler

His surgery is set for January 27. They are trying to get it all arranged. It will take a lot to get all the doctors together for this surgery, which will be 12 to 15 hours or longer. They will be taking Tyler’s hipbone. This time, we didn’t want them taking any more bone from Tyler. There isn’t anything left to take. But we don’t have much choice. He has to have the surgery and he has to have a doctor. But no doctors will accept Tyler because of all of the previous surgeries.

This will be Tyler’s 60th surgery. Can you know the hurt, the suffering, the worries and the pain? What if this was your child? We know god has placed angels in Tyler’s life. That’s why he’s still here.

Tyler will be starting a pain clinic here in Greenville. He has been taking pain medication so long that the Maryland doctor thinks he needs pain management. He will have a pain pump while in the hospital in Maryland. Gosh, angels we need your prayers. We are set up with Ronald McDonald House for a month starting January 25.

If anyone wants to help with Christmas, please let us know. This family really needs it. I will be putting a few jars out to try helping Tyler.

Hi, everyone. This one’s a little long —

Sorry I haven’t updated before now, but I have been sick. I’m getting better now. First, I want to thank God for all the angels he has placed in Tyler’s life. And I want to thank you all for all the love and support you give Tyler and his family. We have enough money for the trip thanks to people that love TyTy. Thank you to the Cory James Good Times Benefit. You guys are just awesome. Thank you for all the hard work and hours everyone put in to help Tyler. For everyone that donated to make Tyler’s day a success, what a blessing! Thank you Mrs. Boswell and Mrs. Lash and her wonderful husband. I know god will send you many blessings for he placed you in Tyler’s life.

tyler iI cannot send thank you cards to everyone, so I am doing it here. No matter what you have done to help out, even the cards make Tyler grin (even though he can’t smile). Know that we love you all and thank you so much. And I know everyone’s names are not here, but please know that we are grateful.

I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins. You are always there for us and finding ways to help Tyler. I love you. And thanks to the Greenville Cancer Society. So many times, you have stepped in to help when we didn’t know where to turn. I JUST DON’T KNOW THE WORDS TO EXPRESS HOW GREAT FULL WE ARE!

Papa George will be driving Tyler and his Mom to Maryland leaving this Wednesday to see what the doctors say about Tyler’s jaw hurting him so badly. They’ll also be setting up surgery number 60. That’s a long 600-mile drive from home, but I won’t complain. God will be with Tyler and his family until the end of Tyler’s journey. Tyler’s life is in God’s hands.

We couldn’t get a flight, except for one way, but then they wouldn’t have a way home. We could have gotten a commercial flight, but it would have cost $640 along with the $1,200 that Flights of Hope could chip in. It’s just so much cheaper to drive.

tyler iiI will not get to go this time. My little Nathan has an appointment with the doctor. His school thinks he may have some autism. So, I will be with him this time. It’s upsetting, but he needs me. I bite my nails all off to the quick last night lying in bed. I couldn’t sleep. I worry so over my boys. I love them so much.

Or if anyone wants to adopt a family for Christmas, Tyler’s family needs the help. So many helped us last year, I don’t think they will help again this year. I tried to email KatesChristmas, but I haven’t gotten an answer.

Please don’t email me or write on Tyler’s page telling me how awful I am for asking. I would do anything to help Tyler, even stand on the side of street with a jaw if I had to.

Tell your family you love them. You don’t know what tomorrow will bring. God bless. We love you all.
