Tyler only has 10 more days till he flies off to Maryland to see Dr. Rodriguez for a check on his jaw and to see when the next jaw replacement is planned. I won’t be able to go this time, so his pap George is going with him and his mom. It’s not safe for Tyler and his mom to be walking from Ronald McDonald House to the University of Maryland Hospital by themselves. Last time, there was a drive by shooting in front of the hospital. We saw a man beating a woman on the sidewalk as we walked into the hospital. The police were pulling up.

I really hate not going with TyTy, but this is just a checkup that has to be done in Maryland. I will be seeing the doctor here to find out when they will take the cataracts off both my eyes. I can barely see.

I also wanted to let you all know that all donations from Caring Bridge go to the website to keep it running. They don’t go to Tyler or help him with his medical and travel expenses. If you want to help Tyler, please donate through PayPal:

Tyler and his family need your prayers and donations. If you have it in your heart to help this child and his family, I know god will bless you. I promise that all the money is used for Tyler’s care. It costs a lot to get Tyler to Maryland as I said in last post. Flights of Hope paid $1,300 on the flight and I had to pay $640. If anyone needs a flight for a sick child, the Flights of Hope number is 919-460-4334. This is a wonderful organization. Thank you all so much at Flights of Hope and Debby “Flash” Stephenson at

Tyler loves the cookies you send him. He soaks them in milk. Courageous Kidz helps families in need when a child is battling cancer. Thank you for all the years and love and support that you have stuck by us. even in the beginning when we didn’t have anyone else. I am so proud to be in the Courageous Kidz family. I love each and every one of you. No matter what you have done. We are grateful.

This has been a long journey and it’s is far from being over. God has blessed us by letting TyTy stay with us, and without your prayers and donations, we couldn’t get him the medical care he needs. Tyler loves all the cards he was receiving, but he hasn’t been getting many lately. If you have one you could send to him, he would love hearing from you, knowing that you love and support him. I am asking that you all please don’t give up on Tyler. We love you all and know that his angels are what keep him here with us. If you could ask for prayer on your page, it would be wonderful. Prayer helps so much.

It has been raining for a long time here in Travelers Rest and it’s supposed to rain all next week. This makes Tyler hurt in both his legs and face. He hasn’t been outside in the last four days. Tyler loves all the cards and thanks you all for sending them to him. God is in control of Tyler and his family’s life. With God, all things are possible. I truly believe that God has Tyler here for a reason; I also know God hears your prayers. I don’t understand why Tyler has to go through all he does, all the suffering and pain, all the needles, IVs and tubes, not knowing if he’s going to pull through. Then the surgery failed. Dr. Rodriguez says that if we don’t keep trying, Tyler will never have any kind of life. He intends to fix Tyler’s jaw one day and find a cure for Tyler. Oh how I love this doctor. If you don’t have a cancer child, you just can’t know what this is like.

The failed surgery was May 31, surgery number 58. Now he has to have yet another jaw replacement in a few short months… Number 59 coming soon.
