This is a shout to Karan and Brandon Honeycutt. As the editor here, I don’t normally put my own two cents in, but in this case, I feel I must. It would help the family so much if you could simply stay off Tyler’s page. Your negative comments are hurtful. I have been helping this family post to this website for many years now and I see all they go through. It’s bad enough to have a child as sick as Tyler without negative comments from people like you. All of the information (with proof) about Tyler’s illness and treatment are right here on the website, but you clearly have not bothered to look into it before offering your hurtful comments. See Darlene’s message below asking you to stop posting on this site.
I’ll add my plea as well. Tyler is a sweet and amazing child who has suffered tremendously. The last thing he needs is to suffer from a stranger’s hurtful comments. If you think Tyler or his family are getting rich off this, you’re dead wrong. What should they do? Say nothing and let Tyler suffer? If they had the means to pay for everything Tyler needs, they wouldn’t have to ask.
There is a simple lesson most of us learned in kindergarten that you might have missed: If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. Oh and then there’ s the golden rule. Is this how you would want others to treat you if you had a child as sick as Tyler? This reaction to your comments is from me, but Darlene had her own response:
“Yes, it is true that he is in remission from cancer for five years.  It’s the aftermath of the cancer that ate his jaw bone away and cost him a lung. All this information is on his page. The boy has gone through 59 surgeries. There is not a doctor in South Carolina that will help him because his case is so complicated. He can barely eat or walk because of pain in in his jaw and both legs. Tyler has angels that love him and care,  so Mrs. Honeycutt, if you don’t like what is written about Tyler, please stay off his page. God knows and so does Tyler and his family. You keep putting stuff on here that makes us feel bad when our hearts are already heavy. We try hard, but Tyler doesn’t get a lot of donations.
I’m sorry to call you out in public like this, but if you would post with your email instead of from your cell phone, I would be able to send this message to you privately.”

Hi everyone.

Sorry for not updating sooner. Tyler is OK.  He broke one of his three teeth in the car accident, so it’s harder than ever for him to eat. He is still taking his pain medication every day. He hurts and can barely eat. He is 35 pounds under weight.

The doctors are trying to get him set up for pain medication. They want him to go to a child’s pain clinic. The thing with that is, it’s in Atlanta, which is three hours away. The family has no transportation that can make it that far and my truck was totaled in the wreck, along with all the gas and food cards gone missing from the car after the accident.

Tyler will go to Maryland on April 16th for his jaw replacement. The surgery is set for the 18th. We don’t know how he will get there yet. The doctors that replaced Dr. Rodriguez don’t seem to care about helping with transportation. They act like we live right at the hospital. But god is good and will make a way. He always does.

Thank you all for your love of Tyler. If know that your love and prayers have kept Tyler with us. God bless each of you. You are Tyler’s angels.

The Little Rebel in Taylor, SC is going to do a cruise-in for Tyler on March 22 to raise funds for the trip to Maryland. I will be there with Tyler.

Unfortunately, I still have all 200 staples and the drain bags from my surgery. I won’t be able to do much but sit, but I’m going anyway. The surgery I had was three weeks ago and has been really rough. I cannot get around much and cannot do anything.

I love you all so much. If you want to help us [PLEASE DO IF YOU CAN] you can donate at PayPal " target="_blank">

Hi everyone.

Tyler and his family are doing OK. Doing a lot of running to doctors. Starting with Tyler, he is sore and his jaw is hurting. The doctor said that he may have a fracture on the left side of his jaw, but there is no use in an X-ray because they can’t do anything about it until he sees the Dr. Doorshire in Maryland anyway. His right side is where the cancer ate away all the bone.

Tyler will go to Maryland April 18 for his jaw replacement and to have the injuries checked out. He will stay on his pain medication until then. His legs and back are also hurting him.

Richie still has cuts from the barbed wire and his back is given him a fit (he already had a fracture in his back from last year). Jayden and Ethan are OK, but have bruising from seat belts. Ashley has a pulled muscle in her shoulder and neck.

I want to thank Steven for replacing Tyler’s desktop that was broken in the wreck. You’re one awesome guy.  Thanks to all Tyler’s angels for the love, prayers and support. You all know who you are and it does not matter what you have done big or small to help Tyler and his family. God placed you in Tyler’s life and we love you and are so thankful. You are Tyler’s angels!

I will be having my surgery on the 13th this coming Thursday at Greenville hospital on grove Road. It’s a skin removal from losing 119 pounds. My doctor said it will be rough, but I would be so happy I did it after I heal. Thank god my Medicare said it was medically necessary and will be paying for my surgery. Please put all of us in your prayers.

We love you all so much. Please tell your family you love them each day. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.

I know that god had his loving arms wrapped around Ashley, Richie and the kids and pulled them safely out of the wreck. I don’t know how they came out alive. Thank you Jesus for I know there is a reason. I don’t understand, but I have my trust in you.

All our gift cards were taken or lost in the wreck. If you can help us with donations or gift cards for gas or food, we would be so grateful. April 18 will be here soon, and Tyler will go to Maryland for his surgery.

I wanted to let everyone know that we are home and OK. We had a terrible car accident. It was so scary. Tyler was screaming help me and his chest was hurting from where the seat belt held him back. Richie freaked out trying to reach Tyler and some bobbed wire got him and cut him everywhere, almost tearing his pants off. But he still got Tyler out.

The other two boys are more upset than hurt, but do have some bruising from seat belts. My truck is totaled, but that’s OK. I just thank god over and over that they are all OK. Tyler wanted to take his iPad that Steven had gotten him and his computer is history. He has cried all night that it’s his life, that’s all he has to or can do. I will post pictures later of truck. They are lucky to be here. I don’t understand why all this happens to my family!

God, have I done something? Are you showing Ashley and Richie what can happen? I just don’t understand.  I have tried to live my life helping my family and others when I can.  It cost us almost $700 to go get them, renting a van, gas and food. Now our money is spent and I don’t know how Tyler will get back to Maryland. They are rescheduling his surgery as soon as he a little better.

Ashley, Richie, Tyler, Ethan and Jayden are hurt but nothing critical. I got up this morning thanking god that they are going to be OK. Ashley and Tyler were told to go back to the ER last night as soon as they got home.

I want to thank you for all the prayers. As I have said so many times, you are Tyler’s and my angels. We love you all.

Please keep praying. My surgery is coming up on Feb. 14 and will be a rough one, removing the extra skin from losing so much weight. Thank goodness my Medicare is paying because it causes me big sores.
