Hi,
This looks bad, but he is OK. Thank you Jesus. Thank you children flight of hope for our safe and wonderful flight to and back home from Maryland. Made it so much better for Tyler. It’s a shame the way Medicaid works in SC, when a kid like Tyler needs it so much. That was the reason Tyler couldn’t stay in the hospital because Medicaid won’t pay what they get payed in Maryland. So as soon as he was able he is sent back to Greenville. We will have a hard time next week. Tyler will have to see doctors here and they will take over his care. Also he will have to go to the leg doctor. His foot is sideways again, meaning the pin most likely has come loose.
Thank you so much for all the cards and everything that has been done to help Tyler. Please don’t stop those prayers. God is hearing all of them. We now have another surgery down, but more to come. God bless each of you.

Hi all. I read a web page this morning about a little girl named Ellie. It made me get on my nees and thank God for all the miracles he has given Tyler and this family.
I have learned a lot going through this journey with Tyler. I learned that the most inportant thing is to keep your faith and know that God is with you all the way, that God has a reason for what he does and that he answers prayers. I also know that there is always someone worse off than you are. No matter how hard things are, there are families that are having it much worse. I learned that there are people that care and want to help…that you take nothing for granted…that this could be your child, that you teach you children about God and you tell them each day you love them. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. I thank God each day for all my blessings, that he has kept me in good health so I can be with Tyler and Ashley on this long journey. It’s not over. Tyler still has a long way to go. I know God will be right with us.
Once I took Tyler to church, I think he was four or five, to the Easter play. I will never forget his words as he lay in my lap, because he was sick from chemo. He looked up and asked, “What is this place nanny?” I told him it was God’s house. He said, “Nanny, that’s the man you said stayed at the hospital with us and was holding your hand.
I just wanted to share this with you all. I learned to love and respect others and to share what you have. There are so many families that need support. If god decides that it’s time for Tyler in one of his surgeries, that God picks the most special roses in the garden for his kingdom and that you will meet with your babies again one day.
I feel so sorry for these kids and there families. Even though I know they’re going to a better place. Gosh how they are missed! And their families are hurting. I ask God to be with Ellie’s family to comfort them. I pray that there will be something soon that will kill the cancer monster.
Okay, now for Tyler. He is fine and eating, and he even played a game yesterday day on the Wii. The house let him bring it to the room even though they were not suppose to. He sees the doctor Thursday. He still has a lot of drainage, so I don’t know if they will remove the drain tube from his neck. He’s getting stronger each day, getting around with out a car is really hard to do, but again Gods is with us.
Tyler’s doctor is the most wonderful man in the world (oops, besides my George!) It shouldn’t be long defore we are sent home because of the medicaid. Tyler will be having scans in Greenville to make sure the monster hasn’t come back. I know it hasn’t, but we need to be safe. He has an appointment on the 26th (I think) to look at his legs and make sure all the screws are still in place. All this will be in Greenville.
I sure miss baby Nathan, Jayden and Ethan. Ashly and I are doing great. Here are some photos of Tyler on the plane.
One more thing. Please put my granddaughter Jessica in your prayers. She has MS at 21 years old. She’s taking a shot every other day to slow it down. The doctor says that this will get bad and will be really hard for her.

Tyler is doing great, and all looks great. Dr. Rodriguez, we love you! There are not enough words to thank you for saving our Tyler.
Tyler is a trooper came through surgery really well. He is on pain meds, but he’s doing good. They cut his neck and he has a drain tube.
Tyler woke up with a good bit of blood at his neck incision this morning and was feeling sore, but that is to be expected. We will be at the Ronald Mc Donald house. All the beds at hospital are full, so they felt it would be safe to take Tyler to the Dr. from here. Ronald McDonald House has given permission for Tyler to eat in his room since he can not walk around just yet.
As soon as Tyler is able he will be sent back to Greenville. SC medicaid will not pay what the hospital and doctor get in Maryland, so he cannot stay. There will be a doctor waiting for him in Greenville. Darn medicaid in SC! I guess I’d better just be glad and thanking God we have it. Dr. Rodriguez has also contacted a cancer hospital to get them to do scans for Tyler in Greenville. Even though he’s in remission, there’s a 60 percent chance that it could come back.
Tyler’s so strong and such a trooper. He has fought hard and he has won. The cancer monster is taking so many children. Please pray for all these kids as you remember Tyler in your prayers.
GOD BLESS WE LOVE YOU ALL

JUST wanted to let everyone know to please remember Tyler and our family as we travel to Maryland on Sunday and Tyler’s surgery Monday. He’s all ready to go and doesn’t seem to mind it at all. I don’t think he remembers the surgery in Auguest except that he was out of his body. He said he hopes that doesn’t happen ever again. That it scares him.
Pray, pray, pray! We love you all and thanks to all that have sent all the wonderful cards.

Hello Everyone,
Tyler surgery date is on the 14th we will fly from Greenville on the 13th. I want to thank the wonderful people that have made this possible. Thanks to the flights of hope who will be flying us there and back. Thanks to all the people at Little Rebel who had the cruise-in in for Tyler. Thanks to a wonderful lady named Leeann and her wonderful family…you are so much appreciated. You worked so hard at the cruise-in. Leeann told everyone about Tyler and arranged the cruise-in. She has a heart and loves helping others.
Also all of you who sent cards, and to others who have done things to help, we thank you all so much. You know who you are. We appreciate all that been done. Tyler loves getting mail, so are cards are appreciated address at the bottom of page.
Tyler is doing OK. He is not scared to have the surgery because he knows it will help him. Please pray for him and pray that we won’t have to go through what we did in August. It’s so hard to watch your child go through all this not knowing when he goes in if he will be coming home with you. We have the best doctor, Dr. Rodriguez. He is wonderful and takes care of Tyler as if he were his son. Thank you Dr. Rodriguez, we love you. The world has some wonderful caring people out there.
I will be leaving Nathan with my husband. The little guy is older now and I think it will be aright. Ashley will leave Ethan and Jayden with their daddy. I hope we won’t be gone too long. I know the other kids will miss us.
Tyler has had to reconstruct his face, jaw, cheek from the damage to cancer, and he’s suffered tremendously with everything from intense pain, inability to eat, loss of structure in the face, and so much more. When things like this happen to a child, it’s not just that child that suffers. It’s the whole family. Please kiss your child and tell them you love them. You don’t know what tomorrow may bring. Think what if this were your child? All I ask is to say a prayer for these kids. God hears those prayers. Please leave us a message here at tylertucker.com or at www.caringbridge/visit/tylertucker .
One other thing…thank you Cancer Society of Greenville for the wonderful photo of Tyler. I have never seen anything so beautiful!
We love you all.

Hello every one,
We are getting closer to Tyler’s surgery date. I so hate for Tyler to have to go through this again but it really has to be done. We leave the thirteenth and surgery is at the University of Maryland on the 14th. Tyler has a wonderful doctor who I know will take really good care of him. The surgery will be to take the skin graft off his neck and some of the packing must come out. We are not sure how long we will be in Maryland. As soon as Tyler is able, they will send him back to Greenville to the doctor here because of Medicaid not wanting to pay out of state. We are going to fly up to Maryland on the Angel Plane and hope to get to stay at the Ronald McDonald house, but they won’t let you know if they have a place for you till the day you are suppose to be there. Please keep us in your prayers. Tyler still has a long way to go, more surgeries to have to go through. Cancer is a monster and it destroys your whole life.
Also we had the Cruise-In for Tyler at the Little Rebel. Didn’t know at first if we were going to because of the weather, but God kept the rain away and we were able to. The cars kept coming to show Tyler their love and support. Everything went well and we thank you all so much. God has been with us and I know He will be holding our hands as our little man goes through another surgery.
Tyler had so much fun. He was riding around in the cars waving and smiling at everyone. We all enjoyed the Cruise-In so much and want to think all the special people that did this to help Tyler and his family. Thank you Helen and staff, thank you Leann and your wonderful family. You all are Tyler’s angels sent from God. There are so many people out there that love and care what happens to Tyler we love and thank each of you. There was a family that did their own little thing for Tyler and went around and collected money to help out Tyler and our family. A great big thank you to Mr. Jeff Calvert and his wonderful family. So glad you all got to meet Tyler and the rest of his family. Once again, thank you all so much we love you all! Also thank you Mrs. Leann for our wonderful tee shirts. What a wonderful caring person you are. AJ and your Hubby are so lucky to have you .
YOUR KINDNESS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO LEAVE TYLER A MESSAGE
Here is the poster for Tyler’s Cruise-In Benefit. Please disregard the one from the previous post.
Hello everyone,
I want to tell you all that I love and appreciate you all so much. Tyler is doing well for now. He did have some pain in his legs and will be seeing the doctor about that here in Greenville. Tyler still doesn’t have any jaw pain, and is eating well, but still at nine, his weight is around 50 pounds. He’s real tall and so, so skinny. Tyler’s brother at four is 45 pounds. Nathan at three is 40 pounds.
Tyler’s surgery is coming up June 14th. We will fly to Maryland in the Angel Flight. I am getting a little worried about Tyler’s jaw being cut again, but he has the best doctor in the world. His face is looking a little side ways again, but that just might be because some of the padding must come out and they will remove the skin graft. Tyler will have a cut from one ear almost to the other.
I pray, and ask you all to pray, that he doesn’t have any out of the body experiences going on this time. I am worried because we all most lost him last surgery. But thank God and Dr. Rodriguez that he pulled through. Tyler is one strong kid. What a trooper. He’s ready to go get the surgery done. Please keep us in your prayers.
Sorry, this is the wrong poster. You can see the right one here:
There is going to be a cruise-in held for Tyler on the 15th of this month at Little Rebel here in Greer to raise a little money to help out with the trip. This wonderful lady, her son, and her grandson AJ, plus a lady Helen, are doing this for Tyler and our family so we can be with Tyler instead of worrying from far away. These people are so wonderful and love helping children when they can. We thank them all so much. Lets pray it doesn’t rain or they won’t be able to do this.
Also Tyler ask me about a friend Steven. He says he wants me to tell Steven he loves the computer. He and his teacher use it every day. He said to tell Steven thank him for caring so much about him. Tyler knows that if it wasn’t for Steven he wouldn’t have had all the birthday parties and his dog and all the other wonderful things hes done to make Tyler happy.
THERE HAVE JUST BEEN SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS DONE TO HELP OUT AND WE THANK EACH OF YOU.
There’s no way to send a thank you, except on Tyler’s page. You all are gods and angels, and with out you, Tyler wouldn’t have been able to have all his surgeries and appointments. He wouldn’t have been able to make the long trips.
Jayden and Ethan are doing fine. Nathan is sick with a fever and runny nose. I am all better and loving having the boys living close.
One more thing… Jessica, Tyler’s 21-year-old cousin has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She has taken shots every other day to slow it down. Jessica has a 24-hour nurse on call for her and will have to have therapy. She is having a hard time. Please pray for her. This is Nathan’s real mom. I also raised her most her life.
Pray, pray, pray for my Jessica. I’m going to try to get some one make her a Caring Bridge page. We are having Nathan checked to be sure he wasn’t born with this.
Tyler still loves getting snail mail and loves you all for sending it to him. We love you all!

Hi everyone,
Things here are good. Tyler’s still playing and being a little boy, pain free. We are all ready for our trip in June to Maryland for Tyler’s jaw surgery. We have our flight set up and the surgery date. I’m hoping this surgery will be all he needs for a while, But I know its not over for our brave little boy.
Leann and Helen are going to do a another cruise in June 15th to help with expenses. It will be at the little rebel in Greer. These lady’s really care and try to help children who are sick. God bless them both. We thank them so much, this will let us be with Tyler and not worry about food and other expenses.
Now good news: my boys now live next door to me and I am not lonesome any more! They have a really pretty double wide to live in with a great big yard. They seem to be real happy. Tyler played all day yesterday and we took the four boys down to the creek. They loved it. Tyler found a spot that was waist deep on him so he got wet. Nathan and Jayden got sticks and went fishing. Nathan kept saying over and over again that he dropped his fishing pole in.
They also ran and played with toy guns shooting playing like they were hunting. It was wonderful to hear them laughing and playing together. These are things Tyler never got to do. Tyler has asked me to take
him to Myrtle Beach so I plan to do this for him when we have the time and money.
I love them with all my heart and believe me I tell them every day that they are loved so much…because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Thank you all for the Easter cards and everything that has been done to help our family.
WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH
